everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. it rained for hours, everything was underwater, and i even received a phone call from my husband to be a half hour before the ceremony telling me that it may not happen.
but it did.
within that half hour, every single one of our friends and family came together and helped. they transferred all the tables, chairs, centerpieces, etc. from one area to another and made sure that i was able to walk down the aisle.
and i did.
by the end of the night, i had almost 10 extra pounds of mud and water on my beautiful vintage lace gown, but it was so worth it. we trudged through puddles, and danced through raindrops falling from the trees and i don’t think i will ever be able to forget my rainy wedding day.
what a wonderful start to a crazy adventure that is our new life.
